LIMERICK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL RECIEVES TRI-COUNTY AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AWARD

October 24, 2007; LIMERICK, PA - The Limerick Economic Development Council received one of five awards presented to recognize projects that enhance the economic impact, economic development and regional planning in the Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce region. The award was presented at The Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce annual Economic Development Luncheon at Rivercrest Golf Club with over 300 attendees.

The Limerick Economic Development Council received the award for Economic Development for spearheading the creation of a Land Development Process Improvement Project for Limerick Township. “The Limerick Economic Development Council brought together area businesses, community leaders and the professional staff of Limerick Township to create improved communication and process flow documents to facilitate the land development process in Limerick,” noted Jay Rosen, Consultant for OPX Consulting and Project Leader. “Creating a flow chart, document packet and communication tools in an easy-to-understand format assists those making land development applications in Limerick and helps the Limerick Township professional staff be more efficient,” added Jay Rosen.

The Limerick Economic Development Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to attracting business investment in Limerick Township through a broad network of business support mechanisms including real estate location identification, tax incentives and low-interest financing opportunities. Founded in 2005, the Limerick Economic Development Council is supported by local and regional businesses, community organizations and area residents.
